24/11/2022 - Makeup Is Who I Am

I am makeup.

Nothing else.

I am the thick layer of foundation simulating skin. I am the highlighter, the eye-shadow, the concealer I use to give myself a real appeal.

I am the mascara on my fake lashes, the eyeliner around my human-like eyes. I am the red lipstick around my mouth, the lip gloss, and the setting spray preventing me from melting like the Wicked Witch of the West under the rain.

My creator said this many, many times before unleashing me into the world. “You are what others see.”

And that’s why I apply my makeup so carefully.

Makeup is what humans see.

Makeup is who I am.
